Exhaust Gas Temperature Probe
Locate the EGT probes not less than 2” or more than 6” below the exhaust stack attachment flange. 3” to 4” is optimum.
Price: $75
Cylinder Head Temperature Probe
Xerion Avionix uses bayonet style CHT probes (used in Lycoming and Continental Engines). A bayonet adapter is included for each CHT probe. Your specific engine manual should describe where to mount these bayonet adapters, but normally, there is a threaded hole (CHT well) near the bottom of the cylinder close to the lower spark plug.
Price: $75
Turbo-inlet Temperature Probe
Price: $75
Induction Air Temperature
The Induction Air Temperature probe, (IAT), is installed just after the inter-cooler.
Price: $75
Compressor Discharge Temperature
The Compressor Discharge Temperature probe, (CDT), is installed just before the inter-cooler.
Price: $75
Carburetor Temperature
To install the Carburetor Temperature probe, locate the access hole (1/4-24 thread) in the carburetor near the butterfly valve. Remove the screw plug and screw the CT probe into the carburetor throat.
Price: $75
Oil Temperature
The transducer location is usually near the filter and should be safety wired to the engine case. As the AuRACLE Oil Temperature functionality is certified as PRIMARY, the Oil Temperature sensor should replace your existing Oil Temperature sensor. Consult the factory for the correct sensor for your aircraft.
Price: $75
Tachometer Transducer
The AuRACLE RPM sensor is a TSO certified solid-state hall-effect sensor. The RPM transducer should be installed in the non-impulse coupled magneto if possible (Engines with one electronic ignition can install the transducer in the impulse mag). The transducer is screwed into the magnet vent port nearest the magneto-mounting flange where the magneto attaches to the engine. Replace the existing vent plug with the transducer.
Price: $95
Current Shunt
The shunt should be installed between the master contactor and the main bus in which case it will be in the ammeter configuration showing battery charge and discharge.
Price: $50
Oil Pressure
Mount the Oil Pressure transducer in the engine area with an Adel clamp to a stationary location. As the AuRACLE Oil Pressure functionality is certified as PRIMARY, the Oil Pressure sensor should replace your existing Oil Pressure sensor. The transducer is supplied with 1/8” NPT internal connections and 1/4” NPT external connections. Xerion Avionix uses TSO certified UMA solid-state pressure sensors.
Price: $150
Manifold Pressure
Mount the Manifold Pressure transducer in the engine area with an Adel clamp to a stationary location. As the AuRACLE Manifold Pressure functionality is certified as PRIMARY, the Manifold Pressure sensor should replace your existing Manifold Pressure instrument. The transducer is supplied with 1/8” NPT internal connections and 1/4” NPT external connections. Xerion Avionix uses TSO certified UMA solid-state pressure sensors.
Price: $175
Vacuum & Instrument Pressure
Mount the Vacuum/Instrument Pressure transducer in the engine area with an Adel clamp to a stationary location. Mount the pressure transducer in the engine area with an Adel clamp to a stationary location. As the AuRACLE Vacuum/ Instrument Air Pressure functionality is certified as PRIMARY, the pressure sensor will replace your current “wet-line” style panel mounted instrument. It is suggested that the pressure sensor be mounted on the engine-side of the firewall. Xerion Avionix uses TSO certified UMA solid-state pressure sensors.
Price: $150
Fuel Pressure Transducer
Mount the Fuel Pressure transducer in the engine area with an Adel clamp to a stationary location. As the AuRACLE Fuel Pressure functionality is certified as PRIMARY, the Fuel Pressure sensor should replace your existing Fuel Pressure sensor (IF one currently exists). The transducer is supplied with 1/8” NPT internal connections and 1/4” NPT external connections. Xerion Avionix uses TSO certified UMA solid-state pressure sensors.
Price: $150
Fuel Flow Transducer
The Floscan flowmeter is designed to allow fuel to continue to flow with minimal pressure drop if the rotor becomes seized. The Floscan flowmeter model 201-X is available in several models base on your aircraft needs. Consult the factory for the proper model.
